Coming back for my second induction felt both strange and exciting. I had done this before, met new people, and seen the luxury world up close. But this time, it was different—the vibe, the people, and even my mindset.

New Faces, Same Energy…
On the first day, I walked into a room full of fresh faces, all just as nervous and curious as I was when I first started. We introduced ourselves, shared stories, and got to know each other. The energy was contagious—people from different backgrounds but all united by the same passion for luxury.
It was like stepping into a new season of a show I’d already watched. Different characters, but the same familiar excitement. We talked about the industry, trends, and what brought us here.

Industrial Visit…
Day 2 was all about getting a taste of the real luxury world. We visited DLF Emporio, the stores—Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Giorgio Armani, Versace, Tumi.
For some, it was their first time in these stores, and the awe on their faces was pretty relatable. We spoke to store managers who were all very well groomed and knowledgeable, heard about the brand’s stories, and learnt how they maintain their luxury status. It was one of those experiences that reminds you why you chose this industry in the first place. And we even get to touch and feel the quality and materials of different luxury articles was quite like sweet icing on top.
And everytime I see a new luxury professional it just sets a new standard within me whom I would like to aspire as…by maintaining a mixed skillset like them
From some brands depicting the ethos of sophistication and elegance whereas some depicting casual more relatable sense of belonging.
And getting to know what all goes into running a boutique to satisfy their clientele and adhering to their personal interests and enhancing immersive experiences.
Also, getting to know about the materials, craftsmanship, price points etc. used in their collection, and from visual merchandising to retail store design, unraveling so much industry bare minimum number hours was really amazing.

The Real Talk …
The third day was all about conversations that matter. We had a few panelists join us, from the resale luxury market, real estate, e-commerce along with media buying and communication. The discussions were intense—especially about sustainability. We keep hearing about how Gen Z is all for sustainability, but the stats say otherwise. It was eye-opening, realizing how much talk there is versus real action. It was even more delightful having panelists from varied age groups, making it very relatable.
One of the most interesting parts was hearing from someone in the resale market. The idea of luxury resale felt so modern and different, but it’s growing fast. Real estate too is slowly shifting towards sustainability, but it’s still a slow change. And more understanding about new and growing working opportunities in such areas which are different and unique from traditional routes like working as luxury authenticator, pricing analysts, media buyer etc.
Wrapping Up
As the three days ended, I felt like I was revisiting a familiar place but with fresh eyes. Even though it was my second time, there were new insights, new faces, and new ideas to take in.
Luxury is changing, and being part of that conversation made me realize that we’re all figuring it out together. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next.
