During the lockdown, I was very skeptical about what I wanted to pursue my career in, so I started looking into courses and then I came across one called “LUXURY BRAND MANAGEMENT” and haven’t looked back since. And here I am now pursuing it at LCBS.
On the first day at the induction, we were greeted by our professors and had an introduction speech. It was then followed by an icebreaking session. As it was our first day, I was a very nervous most of the time however the whole process went very smooth and by the end of the day it got nothing but better.
On the second day at the induction, the college had planned an industrial visit i.e., we were taken to “The Chanakya mall”. We went to seven high-end stores there.
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]We began our tour at Hermes and Chanel, where we learned about how each branded item they curate has its own story. We all had the opportunity to touch and feel the product in the store, which was something I had never done before.
We also went to Rolex, Panerai, Ethos Summit, Girard Perregaux, and Jager Le Coultre watch boutiques. Except for Rolex, I had never heard of any of these brands before. As a result, it was a very educational and informative visit to the stores. All of these brands featured exquisite showrooms. The staffs at the stores were very well groomed and knew everything there was to know about their brand. Hearing from them about the brands was really encouraging because the way they communicated demonstrated their enthusiasm for their work. The industry visit conducted by LCBS gave us an incredible glimpse into the world of luxury.
On the third day we had industry experts at our college who enriched us further about the luxury sector, their experiences and how they have become what they aspired to be. They also expressed their viewpoint on how brands are managed at a superior stage with us. Not only this we also learnt about how the luxury sector has evolved post covid and what does the future hold for luxury sector in India.
What I learnt post my induction was that the luxury sector will always have a competitive advantage over other sectors in the market because it is a recession-proof sector. Hence, luxury in India has a lot of potential and it’s only going to get better from here. To conclude I would like to say that I am very grateful to LCBS for providing me the opportunity to be a part of this family. I am very excited to begin my journey here and looking forward to pursue my career in luxury sector.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
