The first morning I woke up as a Luxebee came with a head full of excitement, shaky hands and a heart filled with mixed, overwhelming feelings. It was the beginning of something completely new but I knew I had to take that first step. Towards my dream, towards the life I always wanted to be successful at..
I am Anushka and I’m here to take you into my first three eventful days at the Luxury Connect Business School.
Three days. One new beginning.
Day 1: First day of finding myself
The first day was like a rollercoaster. From rushing into the crowded metro to stressing in the auto because of the traffic, I made it to the campus being fifteen minutes late. Inside the class, I met my amazing classmates who are going to be together in this journey with me. Mr Akshay Gupta, CEO of Luxury Connect Business School, welcomed all of us warmly along with Ms. Rashmi Mishra, Assistant Manager L&D at LCBS.
First day was less about learning about the course, rules and schedules but more about discovering the place I had chosen to begin my new life with. Everything felt unfamiliar but in an exciting way that “yes, this is what I’ve always dreamed of.” We were introduced to LCBS, its academic structure, rules and the expectations that came with being a Luxebee for now and future luxury industry leaders.

The most eventful and fun part of the day one was the ice breaking session with Ms. Harman and Ms. Rimjhim. It really broke the ice, the slight awkwardness of all of us. We played this & that, whisper game and treasure hunt game as well which was pure chaos.
Finally, the first day ended with briefing on the Industry visit the next day by Ms. Rashmi.
Day 2: From ground zero to Industry visit

The second induction day was personally a big day for me. The Industrial Visit at The Chanakya Mall. I’ve only seen the luxury brands online at every platform, read about them, seen their events, fashion weeks and more.
I come from a small city, Prayagraj, which is known for the Triveni Sangam, the sacred meeting of three rivers: Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical underground river Saraswati.
Growing up in a small city I’ve always had big dreams. One day, I wanted to have my own dance studio and be a choreographer then the other day, I wanted to own a well-known car manufacturing brand because we did not own one in our family. In our family, we never prioritised affording luxury. While stepping into the big mall that had numerous luxury boutiques, the little Anushka from my childhood felt the happiest even though it was just the visit at Chanel, Amiri, Messika and Rolex. While everyone was busy asking questions almost everything about Chanel, I was still in awe looking around the boutique that screamed luxury, exclusivity, heritage and the standard Chanel had carried throughout the years it existed.
We had to choose one of the brands we visited on 3rd September for the Industry Visit Presentation for the third day of the Induction. I chose Messika for my presentation because I was new to the brand and their moving diamonds design captivated me the most. Gazala, the store manager there told us the backstory of how Messika was founded in Paris in 2005 by Valérie Messika. Her way of getting us familiar with the brand through her story telling and the way she was immaculate at her job fascinated me and I knew I had to choose Messika and also because I’m a big jewelry enthusiast as well as they play a major role in completing the look.
Messika truly left a strong impact on me and I was so grateful for the opportunity LCBS gave me that I got to closely experience what it feels like to be working in the luxury industry.
Day 3: Learning from those who lead
The third and final day of induction brought a completely different kind of learning from the industry experts we got to meet. The Panel discussion brought together Mr. Abhay Gupta, our respected Chairman & Founder of LCBS, Ms. Sulakshana Pathak; former Brand Director at BMW, Ms. Radha Kapoor Khanna; founder of ISDI, and last but not the least, Mr. Devanshu Dutta, founder of Third Eyesight, all of them from diverse backgrounds but that only increased the amount of learnings we got on this day.

Hearing their back stories, their career journeys and their vision of making it through the industry was truly commendable. While the panel discussion revolved around the question “How AI is most likely to impact the immediate future employment scenario?” Their different perspectives and the answers made me think beyond the line. It felt like not just simply preparing for a career but also moving towards a path that is constantly evolving and demanding with efficiency.
They had different narratives but every answer concluded that the luxury industry is human-centric because the luxury brands seek loyalty from their customers to signify the heritage, exclusivity and the standard they carry. Their perspectives conveyed that AI can be used for better efficiency and enhance skills that an industry expert requires. What stayed and will stay with me the most was Mr. Abhay sir’s words, the three C’s we need to remember, Conviction, Commitment and Continuity in order to be successful and make dreams come true.
These three days were more than just an introduction to the Luxury Brand Management at Luxury Connect Business School. They gave me a glimpse of what I’m stepping into, what I’ll have to learn and how I’ll have to improve to be like one of the inspiring professionals. From finding myself from the first day to believing that I do belong here made me and my parents proud of myself already at the beginning. And I believe that I will become what I’ve dreamed of through LCBS amazing team and faculty’s guidance and expertise.
“Three days, countless lessons, and the beginning of a journey I had always dreamed of.”
