As I had discussed in my previous blog, I shared my experience of embarking on a 3-day induction program at the start of my journey to becoming a luxury professional. The experience of visiting prestigious brands and participating in a panel discussion with distinguished luxury professionals from vari ous industries was both intimidating and enlightening—a profound learning curve that shaped my perspective.
We were fortunate to have another opportunity to visit new brands and engage with luxury professionals from diverse sectors. Let’s delve into this enriching experience.
Day 1 took us to the illustrious DLF Emporio Mall in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, for another round of industrial visits. DLF Emporio stands as a symbol of opulence, hosting a collection of the finest luxury brands available in India.
This time, we visited Louis Vuitton, Tumi, Hugo Boss, Giorgio Armani, and Versace—each brand synonymous with excellence, exclusivity, fine craftsmanship, and enduring elegance in the realms of luxury fashion, luggage, and travel accessories..
Our journey began with Louis Vuitton, a name that resonates with unmatched craftsmanship, iconic design, and timeless elegance. Louis Vuitton exemplifies the zenith of luxury in fashion, leather goods, and accessories, setting global standards in refinement and exclusivity. The manager carried himself with enough confidence.
We then visited Tumi, celebrated for its innovation and engineering prowess. Tumi is the gold standard in luxury travel, offering premium luggage and accessories that seamlessly blend sleek aesthetics with unrivaled functionality and durability. The manager showed us how the customisation process works, & I was lucky enough to get my initials embossed on a Tumi Tag.
Hugo Boss embodied sophistication and modern elegance. Renowned globally for its precision tailoring and innovative designs, Hugo Boss upholds a strong commitment to refined business and casual attire, making it a leader in luxury fashion.
Giorgio Armani redefined understated luxury and impeccable tailoring. A beacon of minimalist elegance, the brand merges contemporary aesthetics with a deep-rooted tradition of exquisite Italian craftsmanship, creating timeless fashion statements.
Finally, we explored Versace, a brand that epitomizes bold opulence and daring innovation. Known for its vibrant designs, luxurious materials, and powerful imagery, Versace stands as an icon of contemporary glamour and extravagant Italian artistry.
Day 2 continued with an insightful presentation session, where each participant shared their learnings, offering fresh perspectives. Every presentation brought something unique to the table, demonstrating an admirable attention to detail and a wide array of interpretations.
The day culminated with a panel discussion featuring esteemed luxury experts. The panel included Mr. Ajay Nambiar(CCO, M3M India), Mr. Gaurav Gupta (Former VP Tech & Director, FarFetch), Ms. Mahima Kapur (Luxury Fashion Manager, Confidential Couture), and Mrs. Henna Misri (Consultant, Misri One). Each panelist shared their expertise, career trajectories, and insights into the ever-evolving luxury industry. Topics ranged from emerging trends in luxury experiences and technology integration to the growing market for pre-loved goods, sustainability, refurbishment, and the promising future of the luxury sector in India.
The one-on-one sessions allowed us to clear any lingering doubts, providing us with a wealth of knowledge and more profound insights into this captivating world.
Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to LCBS for providing such an exceptional experience and demonstrating, yet again, that they are the best in the industry. I am truly thankful to Mr. Akshay Gupta and Mr. Abhay Gupta for their unwavering support and guidance, always helping us as students to navigate the right path toward success.
